I've been looking for a flipper and can't decide. What would you buy at or under $300 with around a 3" blade? I've had and liked the ZT 0560 and 0550 so I'm looking for something different.

Take a look at the Spyderco Domino. Blade specs out at 3.13, so a touch over 3.

Thanks for the suggestions guys. Keep them coming, gives me more knives to check out.

Or Southard

Can't go wrong with neither...

ZT0562 3.5"
ZT0450 3.25"
ZT0808 3.25"
ZT0770 3.25"
ZT0566 3.25"
ZT0900 2.75"
Spyderco Southard 3.46"
Spyderco Domino 3.13"
Spyderco Dice 2.5"
Spyderco Rubicon 3"
Benchmade 300 3.04"

ZT 0450, 0900, or 0808. The 0450 is super slim and makes for a great EDC. The 0900 has a sub-3" blade, but it is much beefier than the 0450. The 0808 looks pretty awesome as well.

I'd second some of the choices mentioned above -- the Zero Tolerance 0900 is an excellent little <3" flipper, it fires like a pistol and it's very well constructed, with brass retaining rings instead of plastic for the KVT bearings, and an all ti handle.

The same applies for the ZT 0450, but it's got a 3.25" blade.

There's a few Spyderco options, like the Domino and Dice:

...And the upcoming Positron, a smaller Southard flipper in carbon fiber, cheaper than the first one;

The Mamba looks incredible, but too big for what you're looking for.
The Burch Chubby and Techno are both really nice Titanium non-flippers, <3-inch blades. The Rubicon is a fat, beautiful little flipper, and regardless what anyone says, it's a great deal at 270$. The sculpted carbon fiber and G-10 pivot-collar and backspacer accents, combined with full titanium liners and pocket clip, make it one of the closest-to-custom knives you'll get for under 400$. It's not that practical for EDC, due to a really fat profile for a short knife, and the blade geometry isn't all that useful, but it's beautiful.

The Rubicon is probably the nicest, but the ZT 0450 and 0900 are almost as cool, and quite a bit more EDC-friendly, for 100$ less. Most of those names have been mentioned, so consider this a +1 or +2  on those. CKL :)

EDIT: I see Colorodo and flarp beat me to the rest of the top choices. +4 and 5 then...;)
