Which all purpose hunting knife?

I don't hunt but my brother in law does. I know he uses a Lionsteel M2 with D2 blade and it is hasn't discolored. I tend to sharpen his blades since I'm the slightly better hand sharpener.

Like others in this thread said, don't worry about the D2.

I took the plunge an ordered the KoA. Really want to try the Canadian belt knife pattern and it seems the D2 will meet all my needs.

Should make a great hunting knife. I'd take along a folding saw for clearing shooting lanes.

Opinel makes a great folding saw in two sizes. I highly recommend them. They lock open AND closed so they don’t open in your pack.
