Which Becker are you asking for when you sit on the old bearded guys lap?

I would like a 9 to be under my tree. I know it won't though because Santa brought me an early present, a new Mac. There won't be much else for me under the tree this year.
 
Really can't be asking since I just bought myself a BK2 (funny every time I shop for others I always end up with a couple of goodies for myself), but man, there's a BK10 on a certain website that's going for way more than I could possibly justify. If it was just a few bucks less I'd close my eyes and do it, but as it is... nah, can't be done. That thing is just beautiful though; if the gf bought me one of those I would be one happy guy.

You can buy them from Kabar right now for $158, total. If folks are looking on auction sites or other places, then really, you're wasting money. Unless you can get it for less than $158, then, by all means, get it.

BK6 Patrol Machete to use against the Zombie Santas. I'd settle for a BK10 though whatever is easier to come by.

I'd say "Santy, I sure could use me some BK-9."

I've had my eye on a 9 for some time now. My girlfriend has been asking for a firepit in the yard, so this year I went all out and scored a nice portable firepit, cover, fatwood, and new Wetterlings hatchet for the deluxe Christmas gift setup (though I'll likely be the axe-wielder). A 9 would go with this kit so well.

Now I just need to pick up a proper chopping block since the last time I did some inebriated batoning, I chewed the hell out of my BK2 on the concrete patio :foot: ...either that or a softer patio

Logan got my answer on this one. I've got a KA-BAR Cutlass machete which has a hollow grind and the only way I could love that thing more would be if it had a teenager's libido and a rich dad.

The Brute has that great spine design, with what looks to me like a widened area to baton against, but everyone says that at least the Camillus version wasn't actually much of a chopper. I attribute that to the grind. So, keep the Becker handle and the awesome profile and the useful spine design, but put the Cutlass grind on it and I think it would be a winner.
 
Can't say I've ever asked for a knife at xmas. Might have done it this year though if the mid sizes were out. I've learned through the years that expectation\anticipation is part of desire, so I enjoy instead of cursing it now.
