I'm voting for the 11, but I'm thinking about trying out a 9.

9 for sure. processes multiple doughnuts at once. The time savings factor alone makes it the champ

I would only use the 11 for whittling doughnut holes into forks to use when eating other doughnuts

the BK5 is the best donut puncher :)

What in the world are you cutting doughnuts for? Completely unnecessary, especially KrispyKreme. You just pick up out of box and cram in your mouth.

its a slow day here in the BKT forum so random threads get started because of all the built up of heat and friction. Thats a scientific fact, look it up.

The only reason im here is because im putting off writing and economics paper. and the thread was a proper distraction

Look dude. You cram. I cut. It's a big wide world.

Clearly, this question is an important one.
I'm going to talk to Ethan tomorrow about designing a dedicated doughnut knife.
I expect the response will be the same as his "river knife" response, but a man can dream.

Oh, well I just thought I would add my expertise. I'm a cop. ;)

Okay, first... no one panic.
I've got this under control.
Serious testing is under way.

I believe someone was looking for Kuk user pics in another thread, seems like we found one....

Action shots would be preferred, just cuz you smeared some cream on it dont make it true....

The upswept blade shape might cause to much pressure on one side of the pastry during the cut, thus causing a loss of creme/jelly filling.

yeah, but the ground swedge provides improved hydraulic flow and reduced friction, so less tear-out when cutting all the way through and removing the cut pieces. Plus, you can get more of the point in the hole without damaging the pastry.

Too much pressure? Right. Over the weight of a bk9?

The speed of the upswept blade will be unmatched in piercing that delicious pastry flesh to the oozing creamy prize in the center.
