Which Becker Makes the Best Doughnut Knife?

Oh, well I just thought I would add my expertise. I'm a cop. ;)

Everyone's opinion is invalid compared to the cop. We are talking about the pinnacle connaisseur of the fried carbohydrate world. Ethan may be a leading voice in both the culinary and knife making fields, however police are the tasting experts. Devilpig is donut sommelier.

yeah, but the ground swedge provides improved hydraulic flow and reduced friction, so less tear-out when cutting all the way through and removing the cut pieces. Plus, you can get more of the point in the hole without damaging the pastry.

Good points and with a regular glazed krispy kreme i would say the 5 is a swell choice, but im afraid the abundance of creme/jelly lost with a filled doughnut makes the 5 unusable

How many times was spell check/google/dictionary.com used to complete this post? and wtf is a sommelier

i cant believe this thread got to a second page. Someone owes Guyon 5 bucks, thats the only reason i can see for the start of this thread

:) :p

A sommelier is a wine tasting expert, the person in a restaurant that will pair your wine with your meal so you can enhance the dining experience. As for Google corrections or whatnot, none, I happen to be a Banker and speak French. There's gotta be another Beckerhead who's in the financial services industry... anyone?

The upswept blade shape might cause to much pressure on one side of the pastry during the cut, thus causing a loss of creme/jelly filling.

Spoken like men who truly appreciate the fluid dynamics of popular pastries.
I'll see about getting this thread moved to Reviews and Testing so we can up the technical talk.

Hopefully Tooj will be along to weigh in on this one. This thread could get ugly.

you don't use a straw to suck all the filling out first? HEATHEN!

I am very disappointed in you guys. :( None of you even mentioned the Becker Train Wrecker! That would easily take care of a box of Krispy Kreames. Big enough to chop 'em up, but also small and ergonomic enough for your light duty doughnut carving tasks, i.e. Doughnut bow drill set, doughnut feather stick, doughnut pot holder, doughnut eating.. etc etc. Clearly its the perfect choice:D

I'm beginning to see possibilities with this Becker.
Clear the doughnut hole with a well-placed shot, cut up the doughnut with the tac blade, gut hook anyone who gets in your way...
We may have a winner.

Yeah, I think you have all your bases covered with this one.

well, one thought comes to mind....

Krispy Kremes are not donuts :)
