Which Becker should be my first

I’m torn between the 2, 10, and the 9. This will most likely just be a fun knife for me to do a few mods and be used as a truck knife and maybe a hiking or around the yard knife.

My first Becker was a 2. I have a few others now, but I think the 2 is a good one to start with. When I took the BK2 out of the box for the first time. I had never seen one in person before. I laughed out loud like a lil kid because of how much of a beast the knife is. I still use the BK2 regularly.
 
I see the 9 is getting a lot of love which may end up being the way I go. I have a lot of folders in the 4” range so the 9 would definitely be a lot more knife than I currently have.

Save, search and get a BK4. The BK9 is king, but the BK4 is a helluva one knife option (with a decent folder).
 
I'm with Lapedog ... the 5 and 15 are my favorite Beckers but since they are discontinued (you can still find a 5 here and there) ...

I like my 9 best of the 3 you listed ... great paired with a smaller 4" to 5" knife.
 
9 0r 2 they will never be Discoed, then grab the rest oh yes start from Number BK1 then to the BK77 a few in between and a few after enjoy the Hunt

There is merit to this suggestion as the mighty BK2 can do it all. It's short enough to hike and get in/out of vehicles with and is very stout - you can't kill it!

My two favorites as well. Sadly, we appear to be in the minority among the masses.

This makes sense if, for no other reason, you can't not have a Nine. The 16 is called the Sweet 16 for a reason. If all of this weren't confusing enough, the BK2, IMHO can do much of what the 9 and the 16 can do - all in one knife ... albeit compromises at both ends of the range.
 
I have the 2,7,9 and 15. The only two I really use are the 15 and the 7. Mostly because of size and weight factors. I really don't like the 2 so it doesn't get any use. It is just to heavy for me.
