Which Becker should be my first

As cool and great as the 9 is theres no reason to start there...you will end up owning one eventually anyhow.
If i where you id grab one of either the 4 or 5 (prefferably both) before they are gone. And yes, theres still a few places that have em in store.

My personal fav is the Brute...and the 9, the 20, the 29 and soforth :D
Depends on the daily mood.

You’re gonna want the 9. Kept mine in a brown leather sheath all winter and was expecting a spot of rust at least...completely spotless. I sharpened it before leaving in my pileoknives, but didn’t oil it at all. I forgot to add, I stripped it because the coating had worn down last fall. Of course, they’re all made from the same steel, but the nine is the coolest, after the bundok which is out of production.
I should add, 9” isn’t really that long, to me at least. The 10 looks cool too, if you want a shorter blade. The 6 handle is too small for me.

That’s a great choice. I’m really enjoying beating stuff in my yard with it. Be forewarned, the floodgates will open!

The 9 will lead to this...

Then this...

Then this...

And the collection has grown since.

A lot of guys here have waaaay more than that!

I definitely recommend the 9. It has that effect of “if all you have is a hammer, everything looks like a nail”. I don’t even bring a hatchet or a saw on short trips anymore.

Where you live might influence your decision a little too. I can get away with using the bk9 for almost everything because I’m in FL, so it’s mostly used as a short machete that I can occasionally baton with if needed. If I was still in NC I might go with the bk10 because I usually had a hatchet or an axe around for chopping/splitting. That being said, I still recommend the bk9.

nah... start small. get an 11. you'll have a great edc knife for a fraction of the cost. and if you find you don't love it, you've a great bottle opener.

or... out of the 3 your mentioned, for a truck knife i think the 9 would be too big. but get it anyway. you won't regret it.
