  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

Which Benchmade are you carrying today?

With the push button auto lock , all you do is push that button and the blade rockets out with a confidence-inspiring “thwack” as it locks into place. Simple and strong. I also like the safety to help avoid any accidental opening. Good stuff.

I’ll have to play around with one next time I’m at the Benchmade factory store.

Also, just in case you didn’t know, most (maybe all?) auto axis knives also have a safety.

How do you like that short deepcarry clip?
I must admit that there are times that I double-check that the knife hasn’t slid up in my pocket after being seated. I believe I’m doing it because the Bugout deep carry clip is significantly shorter than the usual BM deep-carry clip (1.5” vs 2.25”).

If the knife rides up 1/2” with the short clip installed, only 1” of clip remains to secure the knife. Same scenario with the usual BM deep carry clip, 1.75” of the clip remains securing the knife.
