Which Benchmade for EDC?

My workweek daily carry is a combination of either the 710HS or 806, plus a 690DM or 941. I actually carry a medium Mayo TNT for eDC most of the time, but it isn't a Benchmade of course.

What do you do with your EDC?
For a working knife, I always say the 710HS. If I didn't have a need for a work knife, I'd say go with one of the 94X series. Either way, you get a great knife.

Forget the 970, go with a 910 HS. It is less expensive, has better steel, and better blade shape for utility. It was my first BM and never let me down.

Incidentally,
I ordered a 910 HS this morn, the handle looks very comfortable and i haven't tried the M2 tool steel yet. Should be with me tomorrow morning.
I have also decided to add the 940 to my list of 'must have'folders. :)

My Mini-AFCK, it is IMHO the best small folder with ergonomic G-10 handles and a 154-CM blade. Nothing beats it.

i do only have one (BM) knife for edc and it's a ... 555s mini griptilian. oh and i think it's outstanding:)

How are you going to use the knife ? What is your work environment? If you're in an office, a large folder might not be the correct choice. If you're in the building trades a smaller knife wouldn't work for you either. IMO, we need more info to help with your selection. :)

I've sold most of my Benchmade knives, but the three that I still have are the AFCK, and the 710 in ATS34 and M2 steel. I'd choose between the AFCK Axis D2 and the 710HS M2.

The 806D@ that I Dexter posted the picture of in the Gallery forum. It did not have the BT2 coating. He had it made special, but when I contacted Benchmade about this knife they said that if they got enough interest they just might do a limited run. If anyone else thinks that they would rather have this knife without the BT2 coating, you should email Benchmade and let them know. Your vote could mean the difference.

Really hard question...
I like 710 a lot, new Axis AFCK fits my hand even better but both are onto big side for daily carry in urban environment.

940 Osborne, on the other hand, I can consider rather as dressy knife. Its hand is a bit onto thin side to apply entire my force. I also regret to waste its nice look in heavy job.

730 Ares is just right in size but...

551 Griptilian has the same dimensions and it is clear winner in “bang for buck” competition and it is my choice for daily carry!
