Which Benchmade to buy?

Hands down the Rift.

I think the Rift is one of BM's standout's. As far as overall strength it's hard to beat for it's size. The Reverse Tanto blade offers a great range of utility. After use you will appreciate the difference.

I could go on and on about it but the bottom line is I would choose the Rift hands down. It's a very well thought out and executed design that will serve a very broad range of cutting needs.

Best of luck!

The one for 100 is not all black. The model I want is all black, including the grip and blade.
Model 950bk-1
Right, but the example remains pertinent. If you are patient, one will come up and you can get it for a good price. The exchange is a great little market place.

Another option that is in the same size range with a black blade and grips is their new HK Axis 14715. It has a black D2 drop point blade with no serrations and black G10 grips. I just picked one up and am really impressed.

Apparently the color set I want is currently more expensive. I guess I will watch the exchange.

I carry an 810 daily but I also carry a smaller blade for EDC tasks, 940, Manix 2 FRCP, SAK

The 810 is a BIG EDC by the rift is a little smaller in the blade and handle but still pretty stout. If you had to have just 1 I'd say rift. The barrage is another knife that does well filling most roles while being light enought to be a very good EDC option too.

I also have XL sized hands I work with daily and don't find the 810 scales uncomfortable at all.
