Which benchmade?

BM750 Pinacle is a sleeper...doesn't seem to get much press but you definitely get a handful of good product. Because it was released about the same time frame as the axis the monolock hasn't had the attention. Pretty spartan when compared to the sexy slick axis. Do wish they'd put the clip on other end for point up carry, would have made the lanyard hole more useful for those that like tie fobs. Next best on my list is the axis710...probably gets carried most. Still hunting for the perfect folder on this end....tough job, but somebody has to do it...my sacrifice no doubt.

Last year was not a good year between Benchmade and myself. Seemed like every knife I got for a customer or myself had to be sent back (every thing that was sent back was eventually corrected). I had seen some far better stuff come out of Taiwan. Be that as it may, I aquired a 750 Pinnacle about a month ago. Mainly to compare to a Reeves Sebenza. I have to admit that I really like this knife and have been carrying and using it pretty much exclusively since I got it. I still do not recommend Benchmade to my customers and I am still suspicious and guarded of their products. "CAVIAT EMPTOR"

My favorite BM folders are 710 Axis Lock and 800 AFCK. Both display very good workmanship and flawless performance. Both are large but comfortable to carry tactical folders. I can't say which I like more.
Note: be careful if you are in jurisdiction where 4 inches (or 100 millimeters) is a limit for legal concealed carry - both knives have blades a bit longer than declared in catalog.

I like BM Mini Stryker. The bigger one is quite good as well. But both were introduced before BM 710 Axis - otherwise I would have got this one.

I'll echo the praise for the Mel Pardue 720 Axis. Mine just arrived yesterday & I can't stop playing with it. Super slick action, solid feel, good ergonomics, shaving sharp out of the box, perfect blade & grind symmetry -- in short, a great mid-sized folder.

IMO the best BM's in order are:
Axis 710
Pinnacle
Mel Pardue Axis
AFCK

This list is bound to change as BM has a lot of new knives(methinks) on the tarmac awaiting clearance for takeoff.
I handled the Elishewitz collaberation Axis lock this week. When it comes out in plain edge, that baby will be MINE! It is one NICE knife!

I own several BM's, but the one I like the most and have my eye on I don't even have yet. The 720 (?) Pardue Axis lock. IMHO, it's the coolest knife in the BM line. Beautiful grind, solid handle, great lock...this knife really kicks butt!

Also it's a perfect size for daily carry.

IUBI, I just reviewed the 750 MonoLock/Pinnacle a week ago in the Review forum. Check it out. I think it's a great knife except for the stupid torx head screws that hold it together. I bent the clip the other day when I caught it on a chair arm and haven't been able to fix it due to lack of availability of tools.
