Which Blade Cuts Better?

Part of me regrets not getting the small. But if I like this one enough maybe ill get a small tanto or someting just for fun.

Went large to be safe. I can always try others. I wanted a large so i can really feel the blade open with some authority and so I can do alot of cutting. But usually i use a small three ish inch blade so this may feel too big. If I like it I will probably order a mini tanto. I love the look of tantos but can't imagine then cutting the way the others do for everyday chores.

Great choice - you will love it.
The silver dbl lugs on this one fit perfect to this knife!
As for the size: Large is fine.
If you can have only one then large is the way to go (YMMV).
Small does have it's advantaged though ( smaller hands, lighter weight, not as intimidating as the large,...)
Both are great knives, so maybe a small is in the future for you rotation.

PS: Neil is a great guy!

Jon, don't sweat the decision on the large. You may find you like the size, like many others here. Your Hanson EDC is a beauty and CRK will never replace it but you can buy 4-5 CRK's for the cost. The market for CRK is so strong you will always have the option of buying and selling as often as you wish until you find the one that works best for you. I too prefer custom knives but can't deny the quality of CRK's. And, the options from size, blade style, inlays, etc. will keep you coming back for more.

Got it and its nice. Good size.

Beat way to get the lanyard off? Cut it? Remove top of handle?

If you take the paracord off the Lanyard the insert will just drop out. I usually;

- leave the insert in place
- untie then pull the paracord through the insert, I make sure the end I am pulling through won't pull right through the insert (if it does just melt the end a little more)
- I cut off the opoosite end close to the knife and then melt it enough that it wont fall through and that holds the insert in place.

You can take the knife apart to do this but you don't have to. If you don't mind having an extra hole where the insert sits, just take the cord off, remove the insert and then put it back in the box so your wife doesn't go what this? and through it in the bin.
