Gentleman,
Can't get the search function to work.

Was a bit bummed when I got home with a Trio today to see that it was Chinese. 110 was still American which really pleased me, great knife!

Could someone please post or give a link that says which ones are still American made.

Thanks!

What the Hell?!?!?!?

There are Bucks made in China!!!

BUT, I knew he as disappointed when he saw the "CHINA" tang stamp (as was I).
Buck needs to be more honest on their site as to what is "Imported"...IMHO.

Racist,
Goose.

BTW, the SEARCH function here DOES suck.

Off the top of my head, these are USA made.

All the "100 series knives", i.e. 110, 112, 119 etc.
"500 series" lockbacks
Buck/Strider "880 series"
Omni Hunter series
"300 series" slipjoints, but not the "370 series"

What am I missing folks, I bet we could make a good list?

I do have to say that the quality of the two Made in China Bucks that I have are flawless.
Mantis and Hilo...

Don't forget the 272 Mayo TNT. I'm not sure if there are other Mayo models that are made here. Also the Alpha Folding hunter, 276 series. Anymore?

Well its obvious that this subject is still a hot topic around here. I don't expect that it will ever go away either. Not much else to say, except that we do have to keep some of the more flagrant adjectives out of this forum.
Thank you,

Is it really necessary to use terms like that?
Yeah you're right.
Just cuz I am one doesn't mean I should label others.
Thanks for snapping me out of it TLC...

Yeah, I added fuel the fire. I started it with the question of acting surprised to sarcastically refer that the topic has been beat to death here.
I'm a nice guy 99% of the time...it's that 1% that gets me in trouble...

Cool, that's one of the pitfalls of the written word, without being able to see you in person, I couldn't see that there was a sort of "in joke" to what you said.

Sorry for the confusion. :)

Michael...
If you mean the Mayo TNT, it is "172".
That is in the thread of RainMan numbers (which is appreciated PhilD)...
Anal Goose.

Hey Five-O Michael...

You got a "Get Outta Jail Free" card from me ANYDAY :)

Respect,
Goose.

still a newb here, but I wish Buck would have kept the Buck name only for the real Buck knives made in America, and then created a subline, with a separate name, for the offshore names.

Something like Carrylite by Buck or something similar. Put the 420c blades there, and kept the premium blades and steels under the Buck name. Associating lesser products with an established name for the sake of mass marketing, just downgrades the entire Name and product line. People will always pay for percieved quality, and treading on those perceptions is a fast way to slide down the slippery slope.
