Which Busse knife, that is no longer in your collection do you miss the most?
I was looking through some photos on my hosting service folders and I got to thinking. I have had a few Busses go through my hands over the years, not as many as some of you HOGS but a few, and there are one or two that I miss.
The one I miss the most is this one, because my Wife and I cut our wedding cake with it :D . Had to sell it, and quite a few others, due to some hard times. But to quote the Beatles, "I get by with a little help from my friends"

Besides wouldn't anyone have a look of HOGGISH glee if he were about to deanimate a wedding cake with a big hunk o' INFI. :D :D

And then there is this one. The Fatty Badger Attack, the middle one in the pic below.

I traded it for a NICK since money was tight and I really had to have one of those NICKs. Something about that Badger just spoke to me knife wise. I don't know what it is about that knife but is was just the coolest. I would like to someday be able to get another one of those preferably a beater so I can carry and use it. Although I must admit I use the heck out of the NICK.

I still have that obese little Mean Street in the bottom of the pic and carry and use it.

BTW Just so you HOGS don't misunderstand, no worries and definitely NO REGRETS, just a little Hoggish nostalgia

So there you go which of your former Busses do miss?

Regards,

Nick

Do you live in TX or are you stationed in TX?

The one I miss is my Satin HOGFSH.......I beat it like it owed me money, but it has brought me so much more that I wanted.....NO REGRETS.....just a touch of remorse.:D

I miss the Meaner Street at the bottom of this pic.....:(
hard to tell from this pic, but it was satin/snakeskin...

BUT OF COURSE I HAVE NO REGRETS!

Man I kick myself everyday for trading away this one, but NO REGRETS is the rules of the realm. I will get one back one day.

I immigrated to Texas in 2001 when I was stationed at FT Hood. To answer your question I wasn't born in Texas but I got there almost as fast as I could. We are right now sitting on FT Benning, GA waiting to leave on Tuesday to drive to Texas. We are being stationed in FT Bliss, TX next and we will retire from the Army in Texas. My wife is a Native Texan, I am just an adopted Texan.

BTW

HOG LAW:NO REGRETS or crying over missed INFI, previously owned or not. A little sniffle is permitted however, only if it sounds like a suppressed SNORT

Like some, I am more an accumulator than a collector. Also, I've only known about Busse for 5 months...

So, no opportunity to let one go and regret it.

HOWEVER -- I bitterly regret missing out on an SFNO. I stared at the price, went off and thought about it, returned to the computer.

It was gone. Sigh. One day...

That's a common piglet mistake, and helps make us all stronger. I did the exact same thing with a SFNO last January, in my second month on BF. Was the first to a smoking good deal on an SFNO, hesitated about 5 minutes and BAM! gone. I learned a lot from that experience.

There are 3.

- Oversized factory beadblasted INFI Police Recruit (actually had 2 of these pups...)

- A BA-e in an Okuden rig that I sold 2 weeks before Jerry announced they'd be discontinued and they skyrocketed in price

- An INFI SHBA I traded away.

The most....hmmm.......probably the BA-e....no wait, the PR.....AAAAAGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHH

I really miss the hogfsh... I've sold a lot of busse's, but they've always been because I didn't like the feature set that was present. Too big of a choil, Wasn't as heavy or as light as another knife I had, etc etc. Not so with the hogfsh. I loved that knife, and as far as I'm concerened that model is perfect.

Heavier feeling then the hogfbmle, and beautiful to boot. Had to sell it to pay rent.

I had a Killer B that I sold for a ridiculously low price back when you could still order them from the Busse website. I probably spent that much the next Friday night at the bar! Oh, well.

ZTBM that I traded to Randall (Border_shift) in my frenzy to get more satin and black paper knives. I'm happy with what I got. I just wish I didn't have to give up the big beauty to feed the addiction.

All the knives that are worth twice what I sold them for.........

All the knives that are worth twice what I sold them for.........

ya.... I was offered 1,600 for a flying moash, but let the auction run till it ended at 1,327. not that big of a difference, but I really needed the money at the time...

SHBM Should have kept one. At least I have the FBM's to play with.

There's not really too many that I miss!
I think I've been pretty lucky that I haven't ever had to sell a lot more knives than I wanted too.
I do miss my NICKs though. I won't buy them now since the prices on them are a lot more than I paid for them.
Heck, not too long ago, I sold a Stealth Hawk for a good price,
and about two weeks later, I bought 2 more for $50 less (each) than what I sold the first one for! :D
I do kind of miss the Randucci modified PBF right now, but I know I'll get over it. I'm sure it's being thoroughly enjoyed right now.
Oh, and then there's the Aftershock Bolos that I let go. I traded or sold them for cooler stuff, but I still consider myself a very lucky Busse collector. I was able to pick up on some smoking deals here and there.

yup, that was dumb:D

my wife would have to hit me over the head with a hammer to make me sell all of these. I might have let one maybe two go, but that is all.

I guess for me it could only be the Tanker A... the only one of five I've let go that I didn't have a duplicate of.

The deal I wish I didn't let slip thru my hooves... a HOGFSH that was right at original cost.

"No pain, no gain." True in every area of life, not just weight lifting and working out.

Seconded, Roppda.
