I'd appreciate some input here. Which Busse/Scrapyard/Swamprat models are about the same size/feel as a BRKT Bravo 1? I like the Bravo 1 size for a belt knife, day-hiker, but don't like BRKT brand.

Thanks.

;)

What's that one, guys? The Dumpster Mutt DC?

The boss street is definately the closest to the bravo1.

Is there anything out there like the Dumpster Mutt DC but with a slab handle and 'full' tang?

Thanks.

You have to go to Rat chat or the Swamp rat forum here on Bladeforums for the details. It's the Ratganza.

amflud & squishware

Thanks! Checked it out.

It's pretty frustrating. I have my Hg55 here with me and can imagine (by specs) that the RatManDu will be similarly as long/heavy/etc. I'm trying to keep it in the 9-9.5" range - max. The Dumpster Mutt DC looks perfect blade width/thickness/length (there's even a YouTube video on it)... but, the whole rubber handle thing just isn't working for me.

So, if Jerry's listening... release the Busse version of the Dumpster Mutt DC. :D

Sufler. The RMD more closely resembles the Dumpster Mutt than the HG55 does. Blade length is pretty much the same. Your best bet is the RMD.

One of my favorite pieces is the RMD. As mentioned above, the HRLM would also be a good choice, and they will never be as available, or as cheap as they are right now while pre-ordering is going on. The SW is also a great little piece to consider.
