Which Busse/Scarp/Swamp the size of a BRKT Bravo 1?

Res-C may not be much to look at, but is very easy on your hands, and is overall the most durable handle type out there.
That said, wanting G-10 or similar for a nice belt knife is understandable.

I'd appreciate some input here. Which Busse/Scrapyard/Swamprat models are about the same size/feel as a BRKT Bravo 1? I like the Bravo 1 size for a belt knife, day-hiker, but don't like BRKT brand.

Thanks.

;)

Input...This is a Busse Combat forum...and C'mon....are you asking :)

or are you trying to cause trouble???:)

The only trouble I'm causing is to my wallet. :D

I sold my BRKT, and want a similar size BUSSE. What's the problem with me asking?

Thanks.

I'm just curious: Why isn't the whole rubber handle thing working for you?

Every 'rubber' handle knife I've owned had its handle tear/wear down in one way or another. Rubber just cheapens the feel of a knife for me too. But, that Mutt is mighty fine looking. Thanks.

It was my impression, watching several videos on knifetests.com, that the durability performance of the Resiprene C Busse kin handles was much better than your typical "rubber" handles, such as Kraton. I thought they performed within a reasonable scope. In fact, I think it could be argued that the Resiprene C handles remained useable through extreme abuse better than the micarta or the G10 handles. (The micarta and the G10 slabs remained intact, but the slabs fell off the knives, as the tube fasteners, or pins, sheared.)

Also, keep in mind that the Resiprene C handles on Busse, Swamp rat, and Scrapyard knives are fully covered by the warranty.

Watch those videos, and judge for yourself.

Evolute,

Thank you. I'll go back and watch those videos.

Understand, tho, that I still want a G10/micarta handle on the Bravo 1 replacement.

What's that one, guys? The Dumpster Mutt DC?

Actually, the knife above the Mutt is probably closer to the Bravo-1 and even has a similar grind and handles that seem to suit your taste more. I don't actually know what it is :( Someone clear that up for me?

That's an ABA. It's a lot thinner than a Bravo-1 but a sweeeeeet knife nonetheless.

.

I see from your signature line that you really want an ABA yourself! You wouldn't be hogging the trough would you?
:D

Who, me? No. I just really want to find one . . . BAD. One day I will, one day . . .
