Which Camillus is this?

I've had this knife for a number of years and just ran across it again a few weeks ago. It needs a scabbard, so I suppose I should find out just what I have before looking for one.

Here are a couple of pictures:

Note: The crossguard has no markings. (I have more pictures if needed)

Thanks,

Yes it is. They first came with leather scabbards. Camillus supplied them in a variety of leather scabbards made for them by different sub-contractors. About 9/13/44 they switched to plastic scabbards made by Beckwith manufacturing company (marked B.M. Co./ MK1.) Both types of original scabbards are getting pretty hard to find on their own, and can get a bit pricey. Still if you do some homework on the correct type scabbard and keep your eyes open you can still get lucky.

The 2nd type sheath he ^ mentions,-- I posted a photo of one in the topic, Camillus mark II. DM

I think they May have shipped without scabbards and then got paired with scabbards at the supply depo. I say this because I’ve seen them packed in cosmoline and butcher paper. NOS. Not a Camillus but the same knife by a different supplier PAL11823F73-BE41-4E9E-8D09-75939D28A479.jpegDCB116CD-52FC-4F18-8262-7A3C872D56B0.jpeg3B60B0D0-E67F-4D8B-BF05-F5E697F282BA.jpegB6CBDE4A-F78C-44E9-A275-60A41CDDC1DD.jpeg03B2E3E3-5C37-476B-9895-2D77D6C98C71.jpeg

Camillus may have been different but I wouldn’t get hung up on a specific Camillus sheath. Any mk1 sheath would be correct IMHO.

Another reason I think they were mated with sheaths at the depo is some had lefty leather sheaths.

So they would requisition the knife and what ever scabbard that was needed.

The green hard shell NORD sheaths are nice. But are hard to find especially alone without a knife and tend to scratch the blades up.

Nice knife you have. It looks unissued. So a worn old original sheath would look mismatched. IMHO.
