I highly recommend the Canal Street Half Moon Trapper is a single blade slimline trapper

It is 3 3/4" long but the blade is longer than the Case 4 1/4" slimline!
The steel is excellent and the knife is very thin in the pocket

And a choice of scale material from wood, to very different bone to stag

This is interesting. It seems like the majority of folks who replies prefer Slimlines. But the vote tally points to regulars being the favorite. I wonder why it turned out that way.

Maybe some folks who voted for regular "just do" like them, and don't really want to try to quantify it...

In order of preference of the one's I have. You really can't make a wrong choice here. LOL

1. Mini Trapper (Navy Blue Bone)
2. Slimline Trapper (Barnyard Burnt White Bone)
3. Trapper (Synthetic Yellow)

How about some pictures?

The mini trapper is just about the right size, full size is great also but you do know it is in your pocket. The slimline is nice to for those occasions where you might want something a little lighter but it doesn't seem to fill the hand as well. They are all good though.

I have never owned a slimline trapper that I can remember. The closest I've come to it is the 194OT single blade liner lock trapper. I would prefer the size to the large trapper. I like the mini trapper size, but it isn't an option in the question....
