I've got an opportunity to get a free Reeves knife! Which one would you pick?

(1) Jereboam. Made in South Africa, #96 (9" blade)
(2) Skinner. Made in USA. #38
(3) Sable. Made in South Africa. #60. (This looks most like a sable, but with 4 inch blade.

They all come with the original Reeves leather sheaths.

Which one would you pick as a collector? And which would you pick as a user?

I'm moving to Oregon! 2250 miles from home warrants a free knife from my father's collection!

Ha ha ha - does this work?

I have a 20 and 18 year-old daughter and son and part of me is starting to think if an incentive is needed for them to move.....

"So you see son (pointing to the buck 119) this could be all yours.....I'll even throw in the leather sheath and belt to boot :) :)

no no no, you can't have the boots - that "to boot" part is just an expression I use; the deal is you see, look you get the 119 and leather sheath and this fine belt and all you have to do is move"

All kidding of course I love and support my kids, but pre-adulthood is a trying time for parents!

Well. it was definitely a tough choice. But I decided to go with the skinner. The Jereboam holds the most value, so I thought my Father should hold on to it. I wanted something I could use and add memories to.

I'll post some pictures when I get home and have filled the handle!

Man. That Jereboam was nice though. Love my dad!

I think you made a wise choice and with a good heart. I have a skinner that I've been using more and more. It has become one of my favorites. I really want and need a good kydex sheath for it. Wish I knew where to get one without having to send it away. Good luck on your move.

Dave, I am going to check with Tom Krein about making a sheath for it, I could take mine with me if you wanted to order one through him. That way you wouldn't have to send him yours. I'm not sure how much he would charge, but his sheaths are GREAT quality. I've got two of his knives and the sheaths are the best. Not sure if you are familiar with his work or not? Let me know and we can work something out.

I think you made a good choice...The Skinner is the only CR I want to own.

Hi, yes I am definetly interested in a kydex sheath from Tom. Yes, I have one of his knives and I had him make a sheath for another. I plan to call him soon too to get one of the new K9 knives.

Can you send me an email? I tried to send one to you but says private. Mine should be open on my profile. I can kick in a few extra bucks to help with your shipping if that would help.

Thanks,
Dave
