and, possibly dad. Turning to me first, not loking for a 'Benza, but, perhaps, an AFCK (Gentile special - realize it might be late?), Stryker, G-10 axis or soemthing else from a different co.

For my dad, something more "conservative" but attractive. Perhaps even a fixed blade -Moran, Marbles, etc...???

Thanks.

I do not know about a fixed blade but you will not go wrong with any of the Benchmade axis line, or Spyderco Military or Starmate either.

THE STYRKER
definitely a good choice

The Calypso. Plain edge for Dad, and serrated for yourself. A great knife that has a classy gentleman look to it.

Blades

I think I'd like a Buck 110 Damascus with a stag grip. Its not real high tech, but it is classic.

I have a Military, a StarMate, a CArnivour (which I won), a BF Native, so I am giving myself a BM Pardue Axis 720 for Christmas. I am looking for it to come any day now.

Oh no... no Sebbie?? heheh, ok, here's the plan then: for yourself, get a nice 910HSSR Stryker. You'll love it.

For your dad, hmmm.... I think a Benchmade Mel Pardue 330 Gents knife (which is very classy) or if you want a bit more upscale, a BM Mel Pardue 850 with the nice Ivory Micarta scales... He'll love either of those. Hope this helps

I would recommend any of the Axis line. Also, the Spyderco Military, the Benchmade Nimravus Cub (and/or Nimravus, both in M2), and would think that one of the Marbles would be GREAT!, although I don't have any personal experience with the Marbles.

Humpty has some good ideas. By the way, the Marbles knives look great, are convex, use 52100 and are super sharp.
