Which company makes INFI steel for Busse?

In the early Norse Mythologi, you can read that INFI was created by Sindri and Brokkr. I`m saying early, beacuse according to rumors Jerry had that remowed from the original "Saga" (Norse story telling).

The two dwarves, Sindri and his brother Brokkr created other precious items for the gods: Odin's spear Gungnir, and Freyr's foldable boat Skíðblaðnir) and Mjölnir the hammer of Thor, a major Norse god associated with thunder. Mjölnir is depicted in Norse mythology as one of the most fearsome weapons, capable of leveling mountains.

Didn't happen to have a Schultz in there with ya, by any chance???;)

many years ago , Jerry Hossom said that infi is a kind of steel mod from A8, but Jerry Busse never admitted it as a truth.

i think it is a Trade Secret that the company wanna keep , and "the truth" is really important to the buyers ?

i do not think so , INFI as a mid carbon low alloy steel , is very tough and most shinny thing is it has enough strength to let the thin edge stable, very cool.

i am a sword guy , and like tough steel , i really wanna know is that how tough infi is ! and compare to other tough steels like 5160 and S5 etc.

i wandered that infi will get higher toughness when lower the Chromium content to about 3%,and Electroslag Remelting tech may help of getting more purified steel that enhance rust resistance .

dingy
