Im looking to get at least 2 compounds for a 2 sided strop. I have heard good things about bark river black green and white compounds. I start to strop after the 3k stone right now and with the no named brand green compound, Ive gotten some pretty nice polished edges. Anyone with experience with the bark river compounds give me an recommendation on which 2 to get being that black is 3k, green is 6k, and white is 12k. I have heard of people stopping at black but I like to go for the polished edge. Thanks in advance.

If going with a 2 bar kit, get the green and white. The white bar is for polishing the edge.

1 micron diamond on one side and a good quality .5 micron chromium oxide on the other.

Coming off a 3K stone 4 and 2 micron CBN or 2 and 1 micron CBN. I like to go backwards in grit from the finish stone so in your example so I would go 8 then 4 micron. Depending on the item of course.

BRKT compounds go with back and white. I've never found the green to be particularly effective other than making the bevel shine.

If you want to try some BRKT green email me. I'll send you a hunk to try. I'll never use it.
