I have been neglecting all of my other knives for this one.
Well, you're a man...so....

The last couple of pages have had a lot of questions and responses about determining which EDC is which. This question comes up frequently.
Perhaps the following photo will give folks a quick and easy reference to identify which model you have based on the type and placement of theLorien Arnold logo on the blade.

The top knife is my well used EDC1. EDC1’s can be identified by the LA logo with a square border framing it on the right side of the blade.
The middle knife is an EDC2. EDC2’s can be identified by the plain LA logo with no border around it on the right side of the blade.
I no longer have an EDC3 to show. Since the EDC3 was made from EDC2 blanks by adding a large swedge that dropped the point a little, it will have the same plain LA logo with no border as the EDC2 on the right side of the blade.
The bottom knife is the EDC1.2. EDC1.2’s have the LA logo with a round border on the left side of the blade.
By moving the logo to the left side where the Carothers signature and the steel type are already machined, Nathan eliminates one milling set-up. This is a small example of his continuous improvement mindset to improve throughput and keep cost down.
I hope this insight is helpful.

It deserves itI like it when Nathan puts my logo beside his![]()
Interesting bit about efficiency gains by having logos on one side! Any other difference between an EDC1 and 1.2?The last couple of pages have had a lot of questions and responses about determining which EDC is which. This question comes up frequently.
