This foam looks simple enough.. but if the edge is dull or too thick... you can't cut through it cleanly

Didn’t see a “Carothers and snakes” thread

Been carrying this DEK 1 3V for the last week plus. Was at a buddy house a few hours ago in his garage, getting ready to get into his safe in the corner, when this sucker almost bit be in the face as he struck. Didn’t see the rattler halfway up the wall wrapped around the garage door track by the safe. Scared the heck outta me! Well he got what was coming to him after that. I’ll cook him up, but kinda small.

Very nice! Those Shadetree scales are extremely grippy when you leave them semi unfinished, and it gives them a rustic look too. Do you use anything on your fasteners to keep them black?

Nope. They seem to be recessed enough that my fingers go over them when gripped.
