Which CRK is the one that got you hooked?

The Sebenza shown below is what I consider my first Sebenza. I bought it used on 11/2/10...so technically I won't have a one year CRK collecting anniversary for another 4 months.
I had one other one that I bought within that same time frame, but I sold it in favor of this one which is what I consider the culprit that started it all! :p

What was your first one, or if not THE first, the one that got you hooked?

In my case it really isn't one model that did it - it's more the fit and finish and tight tolerances that keep me coming back to CRK.

Out of all the ones I own the Mnandi is really a cool little jewel like knife that is very impressive to me.

This one got me hooked on Sebenzas in general. A double-lug Classic with Ironwood inlays. It's gone now, but not forgotten.

This one swung me over to the "Regular" side of the fence. BG42 sweetness. Dan (DBH) is keeping her now............for now

I love those Mnandi too.

Beauties, both of them!

A plain Sebenza 21 was my first. After experiencing the quality, I had to have a small Sebenza 21 to match. But after getting the Umnumzaan I knew I'd found my new pefect EDC. And after getting the perfect gentleman's folder in the Mnandi, and then experiencing CRK's customer service, I was officially hooked.

The first time I ever held a Sebenza I was hooked! It was my first cousins knife and he showed it to me back in the early 90's. It was a left handed Sebenza with an ATS34 blade which back then was considered a "super steel." I was amazed by the quality of the knife and swore right then I would have one someday!

The mnandi was very impressive. The action was super smooth and the snake wood inlay was great to look at. I also have a BG42 Sebenza which is now becoming a favorite as the action has become smoother and the BG42 blade is incredible.

My first Sebenza was a large early 21, with bocate inserts. My local "enabler" had other large classics but the one I bought had the lanyard pin, that is what swayed me. I have since bought different versions from different periods, but I have fit them all with lanyard pins.

I know the feeling!

I can identify with that!

I need a Sebenza with BG42 besides my Umfaan that is.

Those enablers get me every time :D

Wait. That incredible collection displayed in your recent YouTube was acquired in the last 8 months? Wow.

Yes indeed! :D Where's that blushing smilie? I think it blossomed so quickly because of my enthusiasm for them....I am becoming more selective as time goes on.

I don't know how you could even find most of those beauties in 8 months much less actually purchase them.

Congratulations, Lisa.

Thank you, it must have been beginner's luck, or good clean living :D I did have to sell off some of my customs to afford them though...so my collection has made a metamorphosis of a sorts.

For me it was actually the one piece line of knives that got me into CRK. It was the Mtnr 1 and 2 that really got things started. My first folder, a small regular, came a while after that. :)

I'm trying desperately to resist the one piece CRKnives. So far I've managed to do so, but some day I won't be able to.

The tolerances and fit and finish on my Large 21 got me hooked. I have a Large Micarta Insingo on order that I am really looking forward to.
