Which custom to choose?

Well folks, I still haven't decided yet on a particular knife, but I was wondering, for those of you that have handled a Devastator or other Martin folder, do they really seem as large as the specs would imply? (4.25 inch blade, 5.25 inch handle, 9.5 inches overall)

Yes the Devastator is a large tank of a knife, the lockup is vault, with no play whatsoever. For me personally the Devastator is a bit thick in the handle for EDC, but that is my ONLY complaint about it.

In comparison, my Crawford Perfigo is 1 inch longer than the Devastator but more pocket friendly because of it's thin handle.

for $500, here's a couple of makers for you to consider...

Rick Hinderer
C2O - Carson Carson Obenauf collaboration
Kirby Lambert
Mike Obenauf

I think BG42 is superior to S30V as well....despite the common view on ti. It just takes a sharper, more acute edge.

Kirby is one of the best values on the market today.
His fit and fit and design are excellent.
His knives will appreciate in the long term.
