Which digital camera (Nikon Coolpix 4500?)

I would like to chime in for the Sony cameras. I looked at the 75 and 85 series. I ended up getting the DSC-F707. It was way overkill for my needs. At 5.1 Mega-Pixels it has lots of capability. It also has the Ziess optics, which I happen to love. As a matter of fact, If I remember correctly it is the same camera that Shelby Chan uses. I do not get the same wonderful results that Shelby does, but he IS amazing! I aspire to get half the quality results he does. I would still be doing good at that. That camera has made it easier for me to get good shots though, with less hassle. It has great night capability and on and on. Check it out. I love mine!

The G2 and the Coolpix 4500 are very similiar in price [both in the hi 600s]
 
I ended up ordering the Nikon Coolpix 995 from Nikon (refurbished with warranty) for $482 shipped.
I think it'll more than cover what I need...
Opinions?

3x zoom, 4.0 megapixel.

The best you can get for $400. Their 330 is 3 megapixal for ~$300 and is probably good enough.
