Which discontinued Buck knives are your favorite?

I’d like to see a quality knife company start to make the 4 blade military camp knife. MLK knife aka demo knife.

The one with the stainless handles with the dimples and U.S. stamped in.

One with brass liners and the date on the master blade. Has to be made in America.

They made great first knives. Especially if the birth year was on the blade.

I love SAK’s for what they are. But the demo knife is better. What six year old needs a cork screw?

Wow! I did not know Buck even “made” one. Even with a Buck sheath! I thought I had them all.

Most likely it was made by Camillus. My favorite is a beautiful Case one. I’ve been told it was made by Camillus too. I’ve added a few since this was taken.

Colonial still makes one but it isn’t even close to the Camillus quality. Other than that just crappy offshore ones available now

My first modern one handed folder that wasn't a flea market special was the Bucklite max 482 and I never really bought and carried another modern folder after that, I had found " The one " on the first try.
I'm no longer into modern folders but still carry the 482 every once in a while for old times sake, it just hit the nail on the head for what I wanted in a folder at the time and there's absolutely nothing I can find wrong with it.

Next I would have to say the 302 solitaire , that's one I'd love to be able to try without having to find one on eBay at a price I'm comfortable with.

Another huge thumbs up for the Hood knives, so long as they are flat ground.

I also wish they would bring back the rounded shoulders on their standard hollow grinds like they used on the 2-dot vintage 110s and script vintage 500s. I think they slice better and to my personal eye, I think they look more beautiful.

That would require another step in labor and it would likely be done by hand as it originally was. Raising the cost and then when the two sides didnt come out exactly the same you'd be whining about that. As far as cutting different due to that, is all in your head.

I have a thin hollow grind 426 Buck lite, (Buck Workman) with 425M steel, clip point. This blade cuts better,(with cheese & apple, ect) a step up from my Camillus made Trapper, which is a full flat grind blade with 420 steel. So, both grind and steel have a play in cutting. DM

Then i would have to find them all over again that and i may have a few more soon i hope
Enugh to doa whole cab with them
If they come through befor blade (not iklely) it will be real impressive then as some real rare ones
