which do you edc more large or small sebenza?

im going to get a custom graphic design so im going to be paying a premium and now i cant decide. do i want a small or large. just curious to see which you guys carry more.
 
My daily grind includes business attire, so my Small Seb. gets more EDC duties during the week. The weekend is all LARGE tho.
 
I carry them both equally. The large is to big for my front pocket so when I want to carry front pocket, I take the small. Otherwise it is the large.

Here is some pics of a large regular sebbie I had done by CRK. Its my EDC. I would get the large as I have both, but have carried the large almost exclusively. Its not as bug as you think. The only way I might go with the small is I worked in an office as women seem to be anti-knife it seems from what you read on here and elsewhere. Mine is just simple wording that I did on my computers paint program. I printed the pic out for CRK and the knife looks just like it, they did an excellent job.

Here is what I did with my paint program. I found this pic online and tried different things until I got what I wanted. I did change the wording as they limit how many letters you can use on the backside. So I did shorten that a little. They did a great job and Heather was extremely helpful. I probably sent her 30 emails seeing what they can and cant do before I went with this. She is simply the best......

For EDC I like a blade that's 3 inches or less so I have a small classic. It is the largets size I'd want to carry in my pocket plus for what I use my knives for I do not need anything larger.
 
Well for me, first I bought a small and decided it was a bit too small so sold it and bought a large. The large is simply larger than I care to carry around every day. So I bought another small. Keeping the large though, it's great for weekends and camping use. The small gets the vast majority of carry time though.

Take a look around here, there's loads of discussion on this very topic. I read it all before making my first purchase. Ultimately it wasn't until I actually used both that I was able to decide with certainty that the small is my favorite.
 
when i wear casual pants, I carry the small sebbie.
when i wear dress slacks, I carry the mnandi.
when i wear anything else, I carry the large sebbie.
 
For me it is the Small almost all of the time. I work in an office and live in a small New England city so it is the perfect size for just about everything I need without being so big to draw attention. It is small, compact, thin, and just overall handy.

I love that it seems to not draw attention when used compared to the performance of the small sebenza; it almost seems stealthy to me. It can go from a sales meeting, to the shipping/receiving dock at a factory, to a night out with the wife or friends. As others have said while the Large, or an Umnumzaan, is great for camping, working around the house, etc; the small gets the most carry time for me due to its versatility.

For a constant companion the small Sebenza is better than the large for me.


So if I was shelling out a premium for a custom graphic I would want it on a knife that I would have with me and use the most so I can enjoy that custom graphic the most.



 
small plain for me.

i don't have a large but i will in 2010.

i have it all figured out: double thumb studs, micarta inlay, gold/yellow or silver spacers (not blue since my small has blue), blasted/satin finish.

soon, my firend. soon...

PS its funny how i thought i could stop with the small. then it was umnum, shadow IV...
 
As you can see, many of us end up with both. Like others, I carry the small when I don't want to attrack too much attention, and the large the rest of the time.

I carry a large in a CRK belt pouch on my right side

Also a small in a calfskin pouch in my left front pocket

Along with a Mnandi in my shirt pocket next to my pen

Being retired it doesn't matter any more

If I could only have 1 it would be a large hands down

You need a large first & then a small back-up

If you are getting 1 with inlays & or unique graphics "LARGE" is way better

You've got at least two empty pockets to fill there, Rick. CRK needs some new options I think.;)

As you've said, if I could carry only one and didn't have to worry about appearances or protocol around the office, it would be Large all the way. I just love that version, but it isn't always appropriate in my work environment.

I'm having a belt pouch made right now for my 9" "Sikayo" for the left side :yawn: ;)
 
I wear business casual during the week for work, so no clips for me. My EDC is a slipjoint. On the weekends though it's the large regular that you'll find in my pocket. It's the perfect size.
 
I carry a large or an umnumzaan.I'd never get a small.If I wanted a smaller CRK,I'd get a Mnandi.
 
Not that I'm keeping track;)
EDC a Small 57% of the time and a Large 43%

Four days a week it's business attire so it's a small, casual Friday and weekends it's time for the large.
