which do you prefer - Black blade or natural?

It doesn't matter to me. I have some of both. For me it depends on looks and if I decide I might want to sell/trade it in the future. Satin doesn't show wear as much so it's a little easier to take care of cosmetically. Tho, most of the time the marks on dlc is residue from what you cut and not the dlc wearing.
 
I also prefer uncoated blades. Satin is nice and also practical. Mirrored slices better with less drag but takes a lot of work to do and then maintain.
 
I used to like black blades, but now I'm sticking with satin/stonewash. I hate beadblasts though - they scratch and rust easily.
