Which Emerson to choose for EDC.

Zealot for the win if bigger is better, but the Roadhouse is a MUST have. I for one cannot make myself like the 7's grip. I will eventually have a Bulldog too. As for the SOKF models, they too aren't my grip-favorite (that throws the 11 into this catagory, along with the Patriot). I don't like pronounced curved lower grip-side, it feels like the knife is trying to push my fingers away.

Thanks for all the replies. I can't make my mind up. The ones I am interested in are the CQC 7BW, the SOCFK, the ETAK or the Mini Roadhouse. If you were buying one of these four which one would you go with and why ?

Mini Roadhouse would be my choice of those, but I actually think I'd pick the Mini 15 over all those. Or the Bulldog.

Or the Bulldog.

All I can say is please post some pics if you get a Bulldog. It's one of my absolute favourite designs and I feel like it doesn't get anywhere near enough love... If I could afford one then it would definitely be my EDC. Love it, and enjoy whichever you choose!

Well I have narrowed my search down a little. I have narrowed it down to the Mini Roadhouse, the SOCFK, or the ETAK B. I still can't make my mind up between the three though. Any help is appreciated.

I got to handle an ETAK B last week, and it doesn't really compare to the other two, it's a much larger knife. I almost bought the ETAK, but it's a bit bigger than I like to carry every day. I was surprised how good it felt in the hand. If you want a larger tanto, the ETAK B would be hard to beat.

To me the SOCFK and Mini Roadhouse are comparable in size. I like the design of the SOCFK and kind of wish I wouldn't have sold the one I had. I sold it for three reasons, the amount of grip that stuck out of the pocket when clipped seemed excessive, I couldn't wave it open consistently and my hand felt slightly cramped for space when holding it. I've got girly hands, so if it's cramped for me I can't imagine how it would work for somebody with great big meat hooks.

I've owned a lot of different Emersons trying to find the right one, and I now have two Mini Roadhouses. The second one was delivered today and the first one was just shipped back to EKI to be drilled and tapped for left hand carry. This might be my favorite Emerson knife.

And pics, just because I can.

I used an A100 for edc for about a month. Great knife - I still have it. Loved the ergonomics and didn't miss the wave feature. I don't know enough about all the other models, though. Good luck with your decision.
