Which ESEE for christmas???

My favorite is the 4. I also own the 6, which is great, but i can't carry it with me all the time. I have had the most use out of my 4's as time has gone on. my advice, buy both! you will eventually, and you will be happier for it. I know I am. I use the 6 for all my chopping and camping needs, and the 4 for everything else. But if I had to nail down one esse blade, I would say my 4cp gets the most use. Carving, chopping, fire starting...it does it all. Hope this helps.

The HEST DPx/F will be on my list.

It looks like it will be a great addition to my line of favorite folders including the Spyderco Military, Benchmade Ritter Grip, CRK Sebenza, among others. It looks like a folder that is inherently solid and begging to be used.

I love these functional designs - ESEE is truly habit forming. :D

God bless.

Wade

Ya know... I'd actually really enjoy having one of those fancy new pack kits that is coming out in the fall xD. Also gives me an excuse to ask for another knife!

Any word on how those are going? I recall jeff saying they were almost done being made down in columbia. That would be a sweet surprise in the next month ;)

i just bought my esee 4 and i'm totally in love with it, it's a great knife. I'm askin for a new set of custom scales from the knife connection and possibly and izula II for xmas this year. The new Izula gear wallet looks sweet too

i think im gonna ask for the 6 for christmas...
it costs more than the 4, and i will probably end up w/ both anyway in the next 6months. :D

next question... should i get the clip for the 6 sheath, or the molle back?

I would say the 4 or 5... It all comes down to what u plan to do with it. I personally like the 5 because of its heft and brutality. 1/4 inch thick blade!

i dont really want a 5 b/c i have the Becker BK2 campanion... which is pretty much the same thing. Thats why i asked b/t the 4 & 6. I plan on doin everything i mentioned in the original post with it, & noting less.

Had to recently make the same decision for Christmas myself Hillbilly. I went with the 6 for a couple of reasons, mainly weight and capability. I do alot of hiking/camping in my neck of the woods and I've been lugging around a small axe for years. I wanted something lighter, easier to backpack with, and still capable of processing wood. After alot of research and debate, the ESEE 6 seemed perfect for my needs. Light and strong with enough blade length to handle 4-5 inch logs. This will be my first ESEE knife and if it lives up to the hype I may end up with an Izula ll for my birthday in February. With an ESEE 6, Izula ll, and my folding Silky saw.....there shouldn't be anything I can't handle outdoors. Base your decision on your needs and you'll be happy in the end.

I'll be waiting for the 4 this Christmas. It will be my first ESEE and the last for a couple of years per budget restraints. Waiting and anticipating. :)
