I workin the outdoors year round, and 6mos outta the year in the Rockies. I wear gloves on and off. I've not crossed another knife that works better than the Spyderco Military. Other knives feel small with gloves. The Millies 14mm hole is really well suited for gloves. If that seems too large for your needs, then the Paramilitary 2 would be my next choice. Honestly, there are no other knives that compare to a "Golden" made Spydie. I would put them well above Benchmade and just under Chris Reeve honestly. They are THAT good. If you want RELIABLE shy away from the Axis Lock. Never trusted it, and currently have a Griptilian out of commission and am getting the runaround from BM currently. Of nothing else, the axis gives Murphy's law more potential.
