Hi folks,

I´m new to this forum and this is my first post here;)

I´m from Germany and I know we have some very fine knife brands over here but nevertheless I´ve always been keen on American made knives.

I´ve been collecting knives for over 10 years or so but stopped that about 5 years ago since I have some other expensive interests such as watch collecting, mountain biking and high-end home entertainment.

Beeing a dive instructor country-hopping from one end of the world to the other for the past years I had to give up collecting knives because it´s a little bit difficult to declare a suitcase full of knives to a customs officer, huh?:D

Now I´m back to Germany and this hobby gets more interest again, starting at zero...

I could need some help from you finding some nice folding knives.

Some of my requests:

- only one blade
- not too small and not too big (Al Mar Sere 3003, Gerber Parabellum etc. are FAR TOO big)
- no "tactical" look with serrated edge or clips
- handle made from Micarta, wood or horn / bone
- no scrolled or coated blade

All in all I´m interested in knives for every day use...any suggestions:confused:

How about e.g. Case Sharktooth, Kershaw Folding Field and so on?

Cheers from Germany

What about BM Opportunist? I posted pics here.

It's 2.99" CPM S30V blade, linerlock, no clip, aluminium handle with wood inlays.

What about Chris Reeve? Perhaps a small Sebenza?

Just browsing the archive here...hmmmmmmmmmmmmm...how about a customized Buck 110 with BG-42 blade, nice wood handle and finger grooves:confused:

I didn´t even know that Buck offers such service...RESPECT:thumbup:

Hello from San Diego,
Another Queen model you might consider is the CopperHead .

It is a single blade with Amber Carved Stag Bone handle ....D2 Steel , 3 3/4" closed. You may have to sharpen it a bit if you buy one. Queens often are not really sharp out of the box.

But it's American-made, single blade, non-tactical, bone handle. That was what you were looking for.

Regards,
Knarf

How about looking at some of the numerous CASE models? Bound to be something there that appeals:thumbup:

What German knives would you recommend by the way?
