Which glue for silver bolster to bone?

Can I use epoxy or will it be better with hide glue in order to attach an old silver bolster to an old walrus tusk sheet?
 
Df you have a smaller piece you can test. I find the E600 glue works real well for what your trying to do. Drilling and pinning will work better.
 
I use either JB weld or a 24 hour cure 2 part epoxy like west system or system 3. Best bet is to use a mechanical fastener like a pin or it will probably sheer off.
