I'm considering buying a Guyot Bottle to keep in my Maxpedition Versipack. Any thoughts on which one to get? I will want to be able to boil water in it.

Let me know if you find any in stock anywhere, I have been having no luck tracking one down.

I ordered the Backpacker model and the 38 ouncer the first part of April. I got the Backpacker the third week of April and the larger one is still on backorder. The tell me they won't be in country until mid July. The BP model fits in my Pigmy Falcon water bottle holders just fine, if that gives you any size comparison. I don't know which Versipack you have, but the 24 ounce shorty might be the ticket for it. I ordered mine through outdoorpros.com; you might give them a call and see if they have any in stock. They answer their phone better than emails for some reason.

I purchased the 38 oz model because it is pretty much an exact size match of a standard Nalgene bottle. They are hard to find right now. Here is a recent thread on some mods I did on it.

I have one of these and it's great.Especially here in Bulgaria, where there aren't much goodies like outdoor stuff.

I have been on backorder for two 38oz from Two Wolves Trading since Feb.. tough to come by.

Welcome to WSS ZombaiO! Both my parents assisted my aunt who was a missionary in Bulgaria; setting up a small bible school...they still keep in touch with many of the students.

Your canteen and canteen cup are more than adequate. The Guyot bottle is handy in that it's similar in size to the regular Nalgene lexan water bottle, so it uses some of the same accessories and pouches, but it's also thick enough to where you can actually place in directly in the coals of a fire to boil water if needed. The only thing I like better about the Guyot or Nalgene bottles is that they have a wider mouth which helps to refill from a filter.

I want to try a Guyot at some point. Have a Sigg (1L) and a Klean Kanteen (40 oz.) and I like them both very much. The Klean Kanteen has the bigger mouth openning, but the Sigg has the better screw top. Both fit the Maxped nalgene bottle holders on my Jumbo Versipak and Pygmy Falcon.

Guyot's are hard to get as other's have said which is why I got the other two to try out. Still want one...
