Which handle material (wood or horn) do you prefer?

I love Hill Walnut as a handle! Under my bed I have few Hill Walnut handled Khuks! And Hill Walnut feels real great in hand
Chandan looks great as a handle! I wish I have a Chandan handled Khuk anyhow so far I failed to have any :(
Below is an old post with a picture that shows Hill Walnut and Chandan handled Khuks :)

Below is another old posting that shows pictures of Hill Walnut and Chandan handled Khuks which IMVHO looks real beautiful

The pic shows (top) a 17" 26 oz Ganga Ram, (middle) an 18" 33 oz Samsher by Bura, with chandan wood handle and white metal fittings and (bottom) a 17" 28 oz M43 with Hill Walnut handle by Bura. The Samsher is the same one that appears solo in a pic post I made earlier in this thread, the same one I bought from olpappy. Both the Samsher and the M43 are fitted with silver. Note that the GR appears a bit shorter due to the camera angle, but it measures a smidge over 17":

The second pic shows a 17" 23 oz Foxy Folly at top, with the same Samsher in the middle and the M43 at the bottom:

IMO and experience, the Samsher's five extra ounces really make themselves known after twenty swings or so, as compared to the M43. I've found that the curvature of the M43 has grown on me with use, but I do like the Samsher in it's own way even though I use it the least of the four. The GR gets used the most, then the FF, then the M43.

Good to hear from you again mohd. Thanks for the great pictures from the past. The Hill Walnut does look beautiful. The red of the Chandan wood looks good too. But wasn't the Chandan a little too soft for a real user's handle?
