Which is best EDC? Paramilitary, Delica, or Calypso Jr.

Another vote for the Para...

Frankly, I have hundreds of knives, but this thing is simply amazing me. You will find it is one of those knives that you can be happy with for a long time.

I carry a Caly ZDP189 and it has displaced the RSK Mini almost completely. I like the Caly's light weight and thin profile, and -- very much to my surprise -- the edge-holding of the Spyderco's ZDP is a whole bunch better than that of the Benchmade's SV30. The Caly ZDP is just a shockingly god blade. But... I've been borrowing my wife's Salt 1 (she's traveling in a place where it's not legal carry this week) and I gotta say that the Salt1/Delica handle is better, for me, than the one on the Caly Jr. The forthcoming Delica ZDP is damn close to my dream setup. If only the blade was going to be flat-ground...

I can not wait until my Delica ZDP arrives!! I LOVE my Caly, Jr. It has been with me everyday since it's arrival.

I have used all of these. They all cut great and are durible. In fact the ZDP Caly is, probably the sharpest the I have ever taken OUt of the box. I still rate these near equal in cutting ability, with the Para being a little larger blade. I have carried each of these and was satisfied with them all.
But, I love my Para.
I'm one who likes the compression lock. I've never been too fond of he lockback, simply for convenience and ease of use. I've never had a situation where a liner lock or a compression lock failed me, under use (on a well made knife). I can't say that about a lockback.
As for self-defense, the Para is bigger and deploys quietly and quickly.
I agree that the Paramilitary is in a class above the Delica or the Caly.

There's one other thing I *really* like about the Calypso - it's got a laminated blade. I've always had a weakness for laminated blades, ever since I got my first Norwegian knife many years ago. I just like the way they look.

I do agree that the Calypso''s handle isn't the most ergonomic handle out there anymore. There are better knives about, like the UK Penknife, which has got an almost perfect handle for me. It's even better than the handle of the Native.
