im on a budget so Craftsman belt grinder

or

a bench top disk grinder?

i wasnt sure what the most useful all around would be

figured it might be the Belt grinder but i dont know to much about these things

ooo

Craftsman 2x42 is the way to go. Got over 180 blades out of mine so far and still running strong. Bench grinder is just about worthless, IMO.

ah good to hear

thats the one i had my eye on so im definently gonna grab the craftsman then

thanks guys

ooo

A good 9" reversing disc can be a good alternative. I know 2 makers who use the 9" disc primarily. A good 9" disc in my opinion is easily a toss up with a 2"x42"....

I like my 2x42. A lot better than files! Make sure you do the ceramic platen and manual tracking mod.

James, any info on 2x72 conversion?

Thanks Ryan. I'm on tapatalk on my phone and I find the search feature horrid to work with.
