Which is better VG-10 or ATS 55

VG10 is generally considered an advancement in wear resistance, corrosion resistance and seems to be easier to get very sharp by a lot of people who comment about it. They're both good steel for cutlery, which is what they were designed for. I prefer VG10 for all of the above reasons but can easily still live with ATS 55 and indeed have quite a few older spydercos with that steel. There are some around here equally as knowledgeable or more that prefer ATS 55. I reccomend trying them both. Joe

ATS- 55 seems to scratch easier as well in my opinion! & yes it is a little harder (takes longer ) to get sharp.
Just my two cents worth.

vg-10
A all around good steel
easy to shapen good wear and edge retention.

I have lots of Spydercos in both steels, and I much prefer VG-10. It seems to have superior corrosion resistance, seems to take and hold a better edge, and as mentioned by others, I find it easier to sharpen.
