Which is the proper sheath for this 119?

Same old thing though......just like blades--somebody could have found a stash of Atchison's in some dark, dusty corner in 1971 and packed them up with the current knives to ship.

One can rarely be sure of exact time periods with Buck.

:)

We show off our knifes in year of manufacture, from earliest to new. It would be cool to see a set of sheaths from oldest to new. I can try to put my 119 sheaths in order but who knows if all of the sheaths I have are correct.

How was it determinded that my knife was made in '71 if that's what you are saying? Did I miss something? It appears from all the info that it could also be from '69 when the Atchison sheaths were still available.

This should help.

Atchison is probably most unlikely, since that knife would have started in late 1969 and Atchison ended their association with Buck about the same time.

I hadn't forgotten that and I agree that it's unlikely but still possible.

This is what I was referring to:

I seemed from that statement that some how mine had been determined to be a '71 knife and I just wanted to know how that was determined.
