I...thought... I lost my Spyderco Native yesterday. I had used it in the yard and had also taken a bike ride and gone shooting.

When I removed my pants, my KNIFE WAS GONE!!!

I looked everywhere. I retraced my bike ride meticulously. I even went back to the place I had been shooting. And it was NOWHERE in the yard.

GONE!

And it was the one I had modified the clip on to make it ride DEEP so it wouldn't come out and GET LOST!

Then my wife looked in the thingie that hangs on my chair that holds the remote controls and THERE WAS THE KNIFE!

I......almost..... think losing it would be more reassuring.

I suppose I could have accidentally KNOCKED it into the pocket, but then I also COULD have PUT it there.

Aiyeeee!!!!

Here's the missing piece: the six beers you had in your TV chair.

Ah dude I've clipped a knife to a seatbelt only to look for it for hours... next time I strapped in I found it....

I've freaked out like that just a couple weeks ago with my Spyderco Endura, had a couple friends over for a bbq, went fishing, when all this was done, I took everything out of my pockets and couldn't find the spydi, started tearing the house apart, but couldn't find it, even started thinking one of my buddies had taken it, to my surprise after the hysteria went out the door, I found it in between the sofa cushions.

Starting to think I love my spydi more then my wife, but that's another story!

Cargo shorts get me all the dam time , not a week goes by that I don't leave one of my slippies in on of the flap pockets...and they go thru the wash... but hey , least they are cleaned often :)

Never found my wife between the couch cushions either , although there was this one time...... ;)

Getting senile worse. If you lose a knife you have to replace it. COOL!:D:thumbup:

Can't go shopping and drooling over a new mind.

A mind is a terrible thing to drool over... Or, something like that...

I really can't say, because I've been going senile for a good 20something years. If I don't put everything in one place the night before, I'm SOL the next morning.

My mini Grip and Caly 3 have never come loose on a bike ride or during a run.

Maybe you'll just have to replace it with a wire clipped Spyderco or another new knife!

Hey, tell me more about your remote holder thingie! That looks like useful information.
- a guy who needs a thingie

What would be worse is to lose a knife and not remember where you lost it, or even that you did lose it.:D.:D.

IKEA sells a neat thing that hangs over the arm of a chair and holds 3 pockets for remotes and a loopy thingie for magazines.

SURE BEATS HAVIN EM STREWN ABOUT.

:)

Do you happen to have pictures of this modification?

Thanks
Wayne

Didn't think I did, but by golly I do...

works great when you don't put it in the remote control thingie
:D

The screws are filed to a taper on the edge so they don't eat your pocket.

Losing a knife is worse. If senile, you don't know it and therefore not concerned.

Same principle: would you rather be good looking and stupid, or smart and homely?

My answer: good looking and stupid. At least, it works for me :D .
