Hey shootist...looks like my post in your thread got you thinking? Unless we are just on the same wave length...I'm with you.

My favorite is the Wegner Jr. and I dream of a Wegner Jr. with compression lock and VG-10. In plain edge.

My next is the Calypso Jr. Ltwt. and if I could change it...I would go with the VG-10 blade a micarta handles. Cuts like the dickens. In plain edge.

Finally, I like the almite Walker. Got two in plain edge.

Whoah! Nice photo!
Looks like the Military model has taken pole position. I find the Tim Wegner model a bit similar to the C55 Starmate which has a solid feel and ease of use. Well, perhaps I don't really field dress big game at all that's why I chose the Starmate. Hey guys, you all favour the Military plain or serrated?

That would be a very tough decision between the large Wegner an the Military.
But at the moment the Military is my favorite because of its lesser weight. Its much better to carry in the summer when you are only wearing some light shorts.

Hmmm.. I think the end tip on the Military is a bit long. It sticks out slightly from the pocket. But hell! I'll get one soon for the fair share!

Currently, plain Native in 440V. Still trying to figure out how my new Calypso, Jr. Lightweight will fit in for carry.

However, my favorite knife to fiddle with is the Endura. Very satisfying click on opening.

MY favorite spyderco is my full size calypso.
The linen mircata scales feel great in my hand, the flat ground vg10 blade is vorpal, truly lightsaber sharp and the overall package is lightweight and size efficient. I carry this as my "dress up" plainclothes knife.
My most often carried knives are an endura (plain edge) and a delica (combo).
Spyderco most likely to see kitchen duty: FB01 Moran featherweight.
The spydie bug is very virulant, as bad as the HIKV.
Peace to all, be safe

I'm also standing in line waiting for a Wegner with VG-10 and a compression lock

The military! It is out of ats34. I love it so!! I killed a 15 lb carp with it and took out an unlucky rabbit(I threw it at the rabbit)
This knife is a keeper. It take and holds a hair popping edge and it is my all time favorite folder.

Hey dude, that's really brutal stuff with the wabbit... The least you could have done, was to eat the damn critter, not gut it for pleasure

Well, I read somewhere in June's "Tactical Knives" that the Military model had received rave reviews. Some guy brought it to the Amazon and had a swell time cleaning and gutting Arowanas! Guess my choice for fillet knife is still the C-17 Catcherman!

Don't worry that the world might end tomorrow....in Australia it's tomorrow already.

I would have to say for carry, the large dyad. I like the plain blade shape, sort of like my old worker, and having two blades is great! I use the plain one the most, but the serrated is useful at times. Best of both worlds! I find the micarta scales get slightly scratched and would like to know what to polish them with... perhaps the 3M pads and water.
For looking at, you can't beat the civilian! Mine is the original handle type... beautiful!

So far Starmate with Military on the second place. But the position of both is very strongly threaten with new prototype Vesuvius with Compression Lock.
