Which is your favourite Spyderco fixed blade?

I am really happy with the South Fork. I don't have a lot of experience with other Spyderco fixed blades.

Only one I own so far is the swick 4. (Great for hands on work.) But I do need to find a camping knife.... Reject, can you send me one a week, kinda like Netflix. (Knifeflix) I'll send each back to test another..... Or a recommendation on a campsite knife. I carry a folder and hatchet when I can.

I don't have any Spydie fixed blades but if I were gonna get one it would be the Street Bowie. I just dig that knife for some strange reason.

Very nice stable of steel! It could use some mules tho.

On my wish list are the Street Bowie and the Swick 4.

Out of the two I own (ARK, Aqua Salt) the Aqua is my favorite. TRULY awesome blade.

But I imagine that will change as soon as I get my hands on the Rock Salt! Edit for pics

Nice knives! Is it hard to keep those serrated blades sharp? Do you use a sharpmaker? Any tips would be appreciated. I tend to shy away from serrated blades because I have a hard time getting them factory sharp. Thanks much.

Mike

Really easy to keep them and make them sharp. I just use the Sharpmaker's brown rods, and tune up the tip (plain edged portion) with either the white, fine rods or a Smith's 1000 Grit ceramic stone. Easy to do, and they are literally shaving sharp after 5-10 mins.

I quite never got them as sharp as they came from the factory, but very sharp nonetheless. I generally suck at sharpening, and these are amongst the most permisive and forgiving blades I have in that regard.

H1 is almost magic.

It's funny how quick people are to point out your missing knives, Reject!
Tis' an amazing compilation of sharpies there, no doubt about it! :D

And Mike, the SpyderEdge serrations are quite easy to sharpen up on the Sharpmaker. Not much different than sharpening a plain edge. Just requires a certain speed of the stroke, which you'll get a feel for.
If I get another full SE knife, it will definitely be the Aqua Salt!

Temperance - the old plastic handled one is my favorite
Light, comfortable (in any grip) and a decent sized blade.

Ronin and Moran drop point are pretty high up the list too.

As for most carried - VG10/Micarta SPOT - i wore that thing everyday for years.

I thought it was the southfork, but the aqua has blown it out of the water. Can't wait to get my hands on a rock salt. What's your favorite after owning almost all of them?

For processing wood, the Hossom is king. It cuts more like an axe than a knife.

For EDC, the Street Beat, the first version just for style. Though the new light weight would work just as well.

For larger EDC it would be a toss up between the Perrin Street Bowie and the Aqua Salt. Near salt water, the Aqua would win.

Camp knife, one knife to do it all would be the Temperance. The Moran if for camp and hunting.

And how could you not love the Ronin?

Then there is the unique Vagabond.

Have only jumped out of a plane once and the chute did tangle. Didn’t know it until I started spinning. I’ll have one of these with me next time.

And love the Maddox.

I think you are starting get the picture, :) they are all great knives. Each is built to serve a particular need and they all excel at their job.

I don't have any Spyder fixed blades. Dang you people. Now I'm going to obsess until I spend more than I should. No, wait! I do kind of, got an ARK. Does it count? So I guess that's my favorite. But will now be on the lookout for that next expense. [emoji1]

mine would probably be the swick if i could get it somewhere over here at non outragous prices.
i did have a plain edge jump master once but sold it, and i really did like a friend's moran.

oh, and i would like to try an enuff... looks like a nice little knife.

What no mention of your Lum Tanto's. Hmm! does that mean you don't like them? Well then.....:D
