Which is your favourite?

Posted before in other threads, but my 'cold, dead hands' CPK is my MC.

While it's tough to choose ONE CPK, if I could only keep one (or more simply, choose ONE fixed bladed tool (knife or axe) to bring on a show/challenge like 'Alone'), it would be the MC.

As for the reason;
As I've posted before, over the years, going all the way back to when I was a cub scout, I gradually developed a preference for LCKs/Large Camp Knives (knives in the 9" - 10" blade length category). Over those years, I tried carrying everything from the ubiquitous Buck 119, to a kukri my dad had.

Always had my Swiss Army Knife too, so the fixed blade was used mostly for bushcraft/fire craft, or shelter building when we did that (also where I began to appreciate the disproportionate chopping power of a kukri, for it's size).

I like the added chopping power and splitting/batoning capabilities of the bigger LCKs, and over the years, have gotten used to doing most other camp chores with these bigger knives. While I have quite a few kitchen knives, the one I tend to use the most often is a 270mm Gyuto, so I'm used to wielding a longer knife for food prep too.

I've field dressed game with these big knives as well (not smaller fish and/or birds).

For the past decades, I'd settled on the Cold Steel Trailmaster in that LCK role, but once I got my CPK MC and tried it out, it easily dethroned it. Better edge holding, waaayyyyy more comfortable handle. Unbeatable durability. It's the edged tool I can bet my life on, deep in the boonies.

Well I am anxiously awaiting an SDFK with red scales and it was ‘expected’ on the 6th. So now the tracking only says it is in Anchorage at the receiving facility. We got 16” snow in the last 24 hrs so I was out snowblowing and looking over my shoulder constantly hoping the postal truck was here…..I know I am going to love the knife. I would love a nice chopper, so I hope that happens in the near future.
Like bluemax, I like large blades and carry one frequently, but when loaded up with pack, .44mag in chest rig, carrying a chainsaw, fuel, bar oil, extra chains, wedges, loppers, hatchet, etc- it is nice to carry a little smaller blade (sometimes).
I would love to have the problem of having to decide my ‘favorite’ between the many CPK blades like some on this forum! You lucky dogs!!!!

I predict you're gonna have a perma-grin as soon as you get that SDFK in hand.

It is going with me next week on a snowmachine trip to the cabin. My shoulder still hurts, but I need to get chores done, and I figure the new blade will be a morale booster.
Question- how many times in a day do y’all check tracking info when it is running late???
Lol- I think I have checked a dozen times today just hoping for something new to be noted. 🤪

My first still remains my favorite.
