Which Izula the first time?

O.K. I am new to this forum.I don't have a Rat yet. Thinking about an Izula .Which color and do I get the kit or just the knife the first time.
What do you think.

Get the kit in whatever color you like. A lot of people prefer the green or tan, but the flat black is just as good. Pink is good for not blending into the floor of the woods when laid down.

You can also wrap the handle in orange paracord, which is the international color for being obvious
 
I went with just the knife and haven't regretted it, though I had paracord before buying it.
 
Ok, Ok, let's just call it a truce and all agree it's TAN! Then again it is pretty obvious that the cool kids have RAT's. . . PERIOD!
 
I wouldn't get the kit unless you don't already have the included items. Either way you can't go wrong. As far as color goes. I have two in O.D green and they do look great. I'm now really wanting a black one and the Desert tan is growing on me. I know that didn't help much :).
My best advice would be to order one each of the black, green and tan. It sounds crazy but once you get one you'll understand.
 
Just order a few thousand random colored feet of paracord and a black. It's a great little knife
 
Real men buy the Pink Izula and give it the name of a lady.

-joking, I like OD. The kit is nice to have, but not needed.
 
If it's your first RAT, I'd get the kit. It doesn't cost a whole lot more than the knife itself, and aside from being useful in a pinch, there's a certain "cool factor" to the accessories. Besides, you always want your first to be special. I'm partial to the desert tan, but that might be because I have so much tactiblack kit around the house already. Truth be told, I'd really like to see a dark blue finish on an Izula (and/or an RC-3mil). I'd buy six.
