Which Khukuri for bushwacking?

Is the BDC a normal offering? I don't see it on the H.I. site.

After studying a little more closely I have to say that I really prefer the traditional bolster over the habaki, and I know I'm not alone in this. Is the M43 the only one guaranteed not to have a habaki bolster? (I haven't seen a pic of one with a habaki)

No problem with the first round, as long as you don't mind homebrew. Currently on-tap are a Bohemian Pilsner and some Oktoberfest. :D

Oktoberfest eh? Jrobe, clearly you think in advance. This is a very good thing.

As far as I can tell, the BDC comes around when it comes around. Not always in 14" either, often in 10" I think. You can always send Yangdu an email and ask if she has any available if you decided this is what you wanted. I'm hoping to pick one up someday. There are plenty of solid choices though, as you are already well aware of.

As there seem to be great deals posted with regularity, and there are a number of models which would fit my need, what I get will probably be dictated by Yangdu's Deal of the Day and the speed with which I can send an email. :D

The O-fest is a little young at the moment. [beer trivia] Traditionally, O-fests were brewed in March and consumed in October, hence the other (not-as-well-known) name for the brew, Marzen (March). [/beer trivia]

I home brew too. But it has been a year or so since my last batch. I've had best luck with stouts and porters.

My first home brew was a Porter. I've had the best luck with lagers though, go figure. So I only brew in the wintertime when my garage temps are low enough for lager fermentation.
