Which knife has bit you the most?

my 15" blade heavy bowie. I was honing the edge with a ceramic hone and slipped. Instant geyser of blood from my thumb. Grabbed a eye pad and gauze roll and wrapped it, off to ER for stitches.

used to have a buck nxt, and that thing positively hate me. I probably cut myself at least 3 times on that bad boy, usually when closing it. shame to i liked the little fellow.

hahahah

you can't deny

that orta thing is exactly what does keeps us fascinated by the blade edge

My Dodos have been my most bloodthirsty blades, and the bite is usually from closing them, pull back the ball lock and let the blade drop closed...oops, looks like the edge of my pinky finger (NARF!) was in the path of blade travel....

It hasn't happened too often, but the Dodo is my most consistently bloodthirsty knife, especially the PE

...come to think about it, my Kershaw Leek is also a thirsty little blade, and as with the Dodo, all the nips have been when closing the knife and my pinky finger is not clear of the path of the blade, of course, it's slick SS scales don't help much either...

Ironically, my Spydie Karambit is my *least* bloodthirsty knife, mainly because I unboxed it, opened it, looked at it and said "I'm going to hurt myself with this one...", then put it back in the box

my spyderfly...
it had a little problem that the blade movement suddnely became stiff, so i cut my hand many times because of that during manipulation

Uh, that would be my Boker Infinity. I tried to master closing it with one hand and nearly lost my hand.

You have to pay careful attention to where all your digits are when opening or closing this thing. On closing the thing, it acts like a little guillotine. It will take the end of your finger off.

It only got me once, tho. Its been in the box since then!

I'm with ya DV!!
I have to admit, I didn't stop with just "once". :o
:D

I third the ET. I love the thing. My wife loves hers too and my son thinks his is neat but we all have had some bites. It gets my vote hands down. Seems every second or third time I play with it I get bit to varying degress. Some are just superficial skin slices that don't even bleed but most of the time I'm cussing and pulling out my wallet to get one of several bandaids I always carry for just such an occasion. :D

maybe its a good cigar cutter?

None for me. I simply do not understand the use of a knife where any part of one's body is in the path of the blade. Never have, never will understand this.

My Griptilian, when I swing it closed in a one handed move it closes very fast. It has taken the skin off of my right middle finger several times as it snaps shut.

I'm used to swinging my Spyderco Native III closed. Just got one of the Griptilian 555s with the gray handles (LE) and managed to cut myself twice in one day. The second cut was right below the nail on the middle finger on my left hand. It bled a fair amount. I put a bandaid on it. Took it off the next morning and the bleeding started all over again :P It appears to be OK now though.

When you play with knives, you will get cut. It's par for course. Admittedly, I should have been a little more careful, especially with one of the blue box Benchmades. :P

My Sypderco ATR get me most often but probably due to it being my EDC since new. every once and a while when closing it will get my knuckle never bad yet but it likes to remind me its sharp. :)

RJ Martin for customs and Bark River Knife & Tool for productions

I always end up bleeding:eek:
