This one?
BTW that is not my knife or picture. It is from another member.
#262 is an ABA Limited Edition with Snakeskin Micarta scales. #262 is not a model number, it is a serial number, so there were hundreds of ABA LEs, of which this was #262.
The reason there are very few knives on the Busse site is because of their business model. They only produce one model at a time and offer that on their website. When they are done with that production run they do not mass produce that model again except for small runs that are sold here on the forums in Ganzas or in person at shows.
The ABA is an example. It was produced years ago and is no longer produced, which is why it is not on the Busse website.
The Busse world can be confusing to newcomers. There are 3 separate entities here:
www.bussecombat.com
That is the website of the Busse factory. It shows the model that they are currently producing. That is where you buy direct from the factory. What you need to understand is that the model that is up at busse.com is not necessarily in stock for immediate order and delivery. It is the knife that they are currently producing. Depending on when you place the order, lead time can vary greatly, from months to days. If you order early you will wait longer but they only charge your credit card shortly before they ship. They have a link for ordering the production model on the site:
http://bussecombat.com/miva/merchant.mvc?
www.bussecompanystore.com
The Busse Company Store is separate store run by idahoskunk who posted above. He is a Busse dealer that is supplied directly from the factory. He sells production runs. Sometimes he sells the current or recent production model (that is or was at bussecombat.com) and sometimes he sells limited production runs that were not posted at the factory website.
www.bussecustomshop.com
The custom shop is at the Busse factory and is run by Garth who posted above. The custom shop does some limited production runs (like the ABA above) and also does one-offs to customer specifications. So you can contact him and he can make you what you want.
Bladeforums Exhange
Most of us buy and sell previous production models here on the Exchange section of the forums:
http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/forumdisplay.php/804-Busse-Swamprat-Scrapyard-Knives-For-Sale
So if you want an ABA LE you have to watch the Exchange, but they those do not come up very often, and you have to be the first to snag it when it does. You can also post a "Want to Buy" in the WTB section of the exchange and if anybody wants to sell one they will contact you.

The other option is to contact Garth.
