Which knife - HELP!!!

Of course I have to fall in love with the most expensive knife in the world.... Damn it!! So what do I do... Does anyone want to trade a lung for this knife?? Since I became a father 4 weeks ago to a little beautiful girl it wouldn't be fair if I went out and spend a lot of money on a knife... And I don't think the girls mother would like it either... :)

Someday I'll get it... Hope it will be soon.. I kind of need something macho with all the diapers any pink clothes laying around..

Thanks to all of you for helping me so fast - I really appreciate it..

Mathias,
Let me help you out here. You buy the knife for your daughter, to justify the knife, to the wife. I don't personally own many knives and gun's, however, my wife and children sure do, and I borrow them a lot. :D

Hey, you could always raid her college fund ... that's what I did. College is overated, she can go to trade school, we need more plumbers!

It is certainly not the most expensive knife in the world, but folks new to the Busse universe do suffer sticker shock at first.

Stick around and have fun, this is a great forum.

I would suggest looking into more of an entry level Busse as your first because once you get a taste of INFI,
you'll be back for more. Keep your eyes open and maybe down the road one will pop up on the exchange when
you are in a better position to make the purchase.

This one?

The Busse world can be confusing to newcomers. There are 3 separate entities here:

www.bussecombat.com

That is the website of the Busse factory. It shows the model that they are currently producing. That is where you buy direct from the factory. What you need to understand is that the model that is up at busse.com is not necessarily in stock for immediate order and delivery. It is the knife that they are currently producing. Depending on when you place the order, lead time can vary greatly, from months to days. If you order early you will wait longer but they only charge your credit card shortly before they ship. They have a link for ordering the production model on the site:
http://bussecombat.com/miva/merchant.mvc?

www.bussecompanystore.com

The Busse Company Store is separate store run by idahoskunk who posted above. He is a Busse dealer that is supplied directly from the factory. He sells production runs. Sometimes he sells the current or recent production model (that is or was at bussecombat.com) and sometimes he sells limited production runs that were not posted at the factory website.

www.bussecustomshop.com

The custom shop is at the Busse factory and is run by Garth who posted above. The custom shop does some limited production runs (like the ABA above) and also does one-offs to customer specifications. So you can contact him and he can make you what you want.

Bladeforums Exhange

Most of us buy and sell previous production models here on the Exchange section of the forums: http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/forumdisplay.php/804-Busse-Swamprat-Scrapyard-Knives-For-Sale

So if you want an ABA LE you have to watch the Exchange, but they those do not come up very often, and you have to be the first to snag it when it does. You can also post a "Want to Buy" in the WTB section of the exchange and if anybody wants to sell one they will contact you. http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/forumdisplay.php/683-Wanted-to-Buy-Knives

The other option is to contact Garth.

Just quoting this part because I think it would be really useful to add it to a sticky for future Busse fans. Great Post!
